Idaho Constitution Party Nominates Don Blankenship for President

On August 1, the Idaho Constitution Party held its own state convention to choose presidential and vice-presidential nominees. The group voted for the ticket that had been chosen in May 2020 at the party’s national convention: Don Blankenship for president and William Mohr for vice-president. Thanks to Jeff Becker for this news.

Idaho Constitution Party Nominates Don Blankenship for President — 34 Comments

  1. And from what I hear, it was a knock-down drag out. I’ll let those who were actually there / participated electronically comment.

  2. It should also be added that, despite the attacks upon the former chairman’s character, Mrs. Tittle was not considered for VP (and this ultimately applied to Mr. Myers as well as Dr. Cummings) given that Idaho Code restricts partisan runs for dual offices…at least as CP-Idaho interprets the intent of the Idaho Code.

    TITLE 34
    ELECTIONS
    CHAPTER 9
    BALLOTS
34-903. SECRETARY OF STATE TO PRESCRIBE FORM AND CONTENTS OF ALL BALLOTS AND RELATED DOCUMENTS.
    (5) No candidate’s name may appear on a ballot for more than one (1) partisan office.

  3. Tittle’s group forced themselves into the Idaho E-Convention without authority, apparently having been given the pass code under an orchestrated design by a certain CP-Idaho member. They then proceeded to occupy all discussion.

First, they had no right to speak a single word, being at best unofficial guests, and not members of CP-Idaho or in some cases not residents of Idaho.

Second, every dirty dilatory attempt they could think of was tried in their effort to jam their abusive candidate Mrs. Tittle upon CP-Idaho, whether that be her as President or her at Vice President.

  4. I see that Thomas Jones is off his meds again. He wants to abolish primaries AND conventions. Next up: The First Amendment freedom of association clause. That Detroit perfume certainly is strong.

  5. Claiming others have no right to anonymous comments is hypocritical when you choose to be anonymous as well. So do I but I have no issue with demo rep or anyone else doing so.

  6. Anonymous is one thing. Being a waste of space drooling loonie anonymity is another.

  7. You would know about being a waste of space drooling loony.

  8. Same nutcase troll writing to itself ???

  11. True, but you forgot to include yourself. You are certainly no better. Not worse either, but definitely one of them.

  12. Ivan, are you sure what you are smelling isn’t coming from yourself? Their site fails to account for the fact that many of those states have disaffiliated from the national party, are discussing disaffiliating if they have not already done so, and either already have or still might put a different candidate or no candidate on their state ballot. As for petitioning efforts, by all accounts they are paltry, with Blankenship choosing not to spend his own money and the national CP not having much money of its own anymore, as is the case with their state parties.

  13. I’ll continue to stand by my guesstimate, which I no longer see in the thread above, of high single digit number of states for Blankenship ballot access with a high double digit number of electoral votes among them. True, that’s a guess, but an educated one. Additional information always welcome.

  14. I don’t think he will be on even half as many. He’ll probably be 8th or 9th in terms of how many states he is on in, behind the big 4 plus Rocky, LaRiva, West, Pierce and maybe one more Marxist partylet.

  15. Enforcing morals is just a matter of young ladies being placed over the knee of their husband or father, or mine if their families fail to do the job, and being corrected physically until they become corrected mentally and spiritually and embrace proper ladylike behaviour. The same goes for most of today’s youth, male or female, starting with much of the post-WWII baby boom generation and getting respectively worse with every generation thereafter.

I suspect the same remedy ought to be applied to the wayward leadership of any Constitution Party state franchise which fails in its duty of placing Mr. Blankenship as the duly nominated national candidate on their state ballot. It is more than enough that Mr. Blankenship graciously allowed them to use his name as their candidate. He should not have to spend his own money or efforts to do their job of gathering signatures, nor his time dealing with wayward state affiliates which fail to their duty of unquestioningly and enthusiastically carrying out the direct and firm orders of their national Chairman and doing whatever they must do to get their divinely chosen Leader on their state ballots.

  16. Your question lacks logic and sense. Are you perhaps under the influence of dangerous and illegal narcotics? The Chinese had a good cure for narcomania over a hundred years ago, recently reintroduced by the brilliant and forceful President of the Philippines, Rodrigo Duterte. To wit, every narcomaniac, narcotrafficker and spreader of narco-propaganda is summarily executed, without the complication of judicial proceedings. We need the same sort of decisive action to win the war on drugs in the United States and worldwide once and for all. If you touch, sell, facilitate or advocate for the legalization or normalization of these dangerous and illegal narcotics, you get executed on the spot, no questions asked. If you oppose this policy, you also get executed on the spot, no questions asked. Our society will be a great deal healthier once this policy is implemented.

Another good policy from the old days that has unfortunately fallen by the wayside was to control lunatics by locking them up in insane asylums, putting criminals in leg irons on work gangs in the hot sun, rain and snow alike, and putting vagrants and the idle poor in workhouses and spartan orphanages. If by any chance your hallucinations that John is the same as Paul aren’t induced by chemical means, you would find yourself confined in one of these ways for the safety and betterment of society as a whole.

  17. The constitution party is, but many of their states are disaffiliating, considering it, nominating different candidates or considering that. Hence the question.
