Only two petitions for presidential candidates were submitted in Virginia this year. Jo Jorgensen’s petition has been verified by the State Board of Elections. The other petition, for Kanye West, is still being checked for accuracy.
Virginia has no qualified parties except for the Democratic and Republican Parties.
Something must have gone wrong with Howie’s petition attempt in VA. That’s disappointing. Of course the Democrats are leaving Jorgensen alone and aren’t suing her and the Libertarians in half a dozen plus states like they are Howie, so that’s not surprising that her campaign managed it. At least Howie will probably still match Jill’s 2012 ballot access, which still isn’t bad considering the pandemic and the tyrannical unDemocrats; it’s still ballot access in states totaling well over 270 EV.
Some of the Virginia Greens, in my opinion, had a virtually ideological conviction that it is impossible to petition without risking illness for either signers or petitioners. It was almost as though they felt that if they petitioned, it would contradict a basic core belief. It was almost as if they were convinced that it was immoral to even try.
I, too, am surprised that the Greens didn’t make the Virginia ballot. But it’s fantastic news that Jo Jorgensen qualified. Now, I won’t have to vote for Trump.
Thanks for the insight there Richard. There’s definitely some risk involved with petitioning in the midst of this pandemic. But it’s mindboggling that the Greens in VA didn’t try to find ways to petition that lessened the risk somewhat. Heck, Howie himself has been out petitioning at times recently, wearing a mask and taking what precautions he could, and he initially had similar beliefs about petitioning during the pandemic.
What a mess this year has been for what remains of free and fair elections this country, on top of all the death and suffering that has been going on. I’ll be glad when this is hopefully all over.
Richard, myself, and lots of other petition circulators (ranging in age from their 20’s to 70’s), who gathered petition signatures across the country during all, or at least a lot of, the COVID scare, and I am not aware of any petition circulator, petition coordinator, or petition validity checker, who even got sick with COVID, much less died from COVID.
If the Greens were too scared to gather petition signatures in Virginia themselves, they should have hired others to do it.
There was no risk with petition signature gathering over the last several months because the “pandemic” is a scam. People were at no more risk now than at any other time.
I have not worn a mask during most of this, nor have I practiced social distancing, nor have I carried hand sanitizer, nor have I worn gloves, nor have I washes my hands any more than normal, and I have gotten sick.
I know lots of people involved with petition drives all over the country, and I do not know one person who has gotten COVID.
It is all a pack of lies which is being used to push a political agenda. Nothing more dangerous than the annual flu or pneumonia.

FYI, it has come out that there has been lots of fraud with the COVID tests, in order to inflate the numbers, to make it seem worse than it really is. The same thing with the death statistics. Even going by the government’s inflated numbers, it is still not anywhere near as bad as some have made it out to be.

Petitioning should not be necessary during a pandemic. All these states should have followed Vermont’s lead.

Lots of people have been working petitions through this so called “pandemic” (scamdemic is more appropriate). There have easily been more than 1,000 people out collecting signatures, and ZERO have gotten sick.
Yeah, a real scam, with 180,000 deaths in the US. A friend of mine thought it was a scam, too, right before he infected his grandmother, who then died. If you’re not wearing a mask, you’re playing COVID roulette, but it’s other people you’re putting at risk.

I’ve personally known two people who have had it. Both of them were sick for at least two weeks and one is into her third week.
That said, yes our reaction/response to it is a complete scam.
If the government TRULY believed that the masks help, they would be providing, or mandating, hazardous biological waste disposal canisters for the used bio-hazard masks.
My wife and I petitioned to get Iowa on the ballot for the CP and neither of us wore masks or gloves. Hundreds of people standing face to face – almost none wearing masks – exchanging pens and clipboards – shaking hands… neither of us got sick.

So supposedly, 182,000 people in this country have died from COVID. The USA has a population of 328,000,000 and something. If you do the math, it comes out to about .05% of the population has supposedly died from COVID.
Now consider that all, or almost all, of the supposed COVID deaths have been elderly people, and/or people with pre-existing health problems.
Then take into consideration that they have been caught in multiple places INFLATING (ie-LYING) the COVID death statistics, so the real death percentage is actually LOWER than .05% of the population.
This is probably the biggest over-reaction in human history. The over-reaction is just an excuse for a government power grab, and a distraction from an economic downturn that was caused by the Federal Reserve System and wreckless government spending, which was going to happen anyway.
