The Nation Asks Readers to Vote for Joe Biden in New York on the Working Families Party Line

The Nation here editorializes that its New York readers ought to vote for Joe Biden on the Working Families line, not the Democratic line, so as to enhance the WFP’s ability to remain ballot-qualified. In April 2020 the New York legislature sharply increased the vote test for a party to remain ballot-qualified. Parties need 2% in the presidential race, or 130,000 votes, whichever is more, in order to remain on the ballot. It is virtually certain that 2% of the 2020 New York presidential vote will be greater than 2%, so realistically, the 2% mark is the meaningful requirement.

In 2016, the WFP presidential vote in New York was 1.83%.

  1. I can absolutely guarantee that 2% of the 2020 New York presidential vote will be NOT be greater than 2%. 🙂

Reason reporter facilitated the LP of California’s Prez debate where six of the twelve were relegated to audience under the one-party system when California State LP used approval voting for qualifying for debate.

Approval voting is a one-party system used in US Constitution that brings two-party system.

Since the LP nominates both seats in two single-winner election districts, the LP is REALLY bringing the one-party voting system to USA two-party voting system electuons.

Only one way to bring the three-party system and that’s pure proportional representation (PPR).

Reason doesn’t know but they help cemented the one-party system in the California State LP in 2020.

I was one of the six Prez candidates who were relegated to sit in audiemce by the LP party bosses’ one-party male-dominated voting system of approval voting (AppV). We were censored in our own state when we all worked hard to be part of the debate.

  3. I certainly hope that they don’t get that 2 percent. They are nothing more than tools for the “Corporate Oligarchs” aka Democratic Party.

  4. No one cares. From now on there will be only one party, TRUMP REPUBLICAN and everyone else will be publicly humiliated, tortured to death and sent to suffer for eternity in hell.

  5. Male dominated is the only system that will exist going forward as all so called social progress from all of recorded history is reversed. From now on men will rule ansolutely and without any question or back talk or nagging. Females will speak, if at all, when spoken to.

  6. INDIVIDUAL candidates are nominated and some later elected.

PR and AppV – pending Condorcet.

  7. As the commie libtards themselves put it at 538.com

Fear and anxiety are predictors of people — particularly young people — turning towards extremism and violence, said Miller-Idriss. In that context, the conditions of the pandemic are a perfect culture for radicalism to grow. “We know from the research that unemployment itself does not lead to greater risk of engaging in extremist behaviors but economic precarity does,” she said. For the last six months, the entire country has lived on the edge of economic and social precarity. What if our institutions crumble? What if we can’t get our normal lives back? Extremist ideologies can offer meaning, purpose and a narrative of control when everything feels out of it.

The president’s rhetoric has fed into that, experts say. By the time he was elected, Trump was a hero to many in the militia movement. “Donald Trump has succeeded in being at once the head of government and the head of anti-government,” Rosenthal said. “It’s a remarkable thing, actually.”

With Trump saying both implicitly and explicitly that militias or even just armed individuals are the only thing standing between America and the chaos of a leftist takeover of the country, the promise of control becomes even stronger. It becomes a call to arms — one that more young Americans, sitting at home without school or even work, may try to answer.

But if the head of the government isn’t the threat, who is? The answer, said Sam Jackson, a professor at the University of Albany and the author of a new book on one of the country’s most prominent modern militia groups, has turned out to be other Americans — specifically, left-leaning ones who oppose Trump.

That transition wasn’t as hard to make as it might seem, Jackson said, because many of the individuals loosely affiliated with the militia movement never really saw themselves as exactly “anti-government” to begin with. Instead, it’s better to think of them as radical libertarians, who wanted drastically less government, or maybe different government. “So when their man is in office, it’s an easier pivot for them to say … not all government is bad, but we don’t need to target the White House anymore,” he said.

But targeting opponents of the White House means a drastic change in the character of the American militia movement, said Robert Churchill, a history professor at the University of Hartford who extensively researched the militia movement of the 1990s. The majority of militia members back then were radical libertarians, he said, agreeing with Jackson, but their opposition to the federal government broadly meant they weren’t a partisan force. In fact, that definition of militias — small, armed groups of civilians fighting against the government — has characterized these kinds of movements throughout American history, Churchill told us.

Until now. Given the way things are changing, the people who study the militia movement and have spent years talking to its members think there’s a risk of American militias becoming more like the militias of other, often politically unstable, countries. “What matters is if the movement becomes essentially a more traditional Latin American pro-regime paramilitary, which seems to be what Trump is trying to create or wants,” Churchill said.

  8. In other words as Q ANON has been telling us all along: trust in the plan. The plan is on track and everything is unfolding on schedule just as predicted. The endgame starts now. Stand by and await orders coming soon to go into full battle mode. TRUMP WILL ISSUE THOSE ORDERS IN DAYS TO WEEKS, NOT MONTHS OR YEARS AND WE WILL WIN AND KEEP WINNING FOREVER.

  9. Jesus, the crazies here… In any regards, yeah, instead of voting for Biden on a ballot line of a political party that exists to serve the Democratic Party, they should just vote for Howie Hawkins instead to make sure the Greens get the needed percentage, as that matters a hell of a lot more.

  10. LEGAL militia units, 1-8-16

    ALL others = private gangs
    ——-

So-called *national guard* [circa 1903] = UNCON subversion of Militia

So-called USA military Drafts — Civil War, WW I, WWII, etc —
ALL UNCON – subversion Of 1-8-16 Militia – esp State officer commanders.

  11. You have to be incredibly ignorant to think the WFP is a puppet of the Democrats. (either that or you are confusing the WFP with the WEP, which was kind of the point of Cuomo founding the WEP in the first place). If you know anything about what is going on right now, the entire reason the WFP is in trouble is because the Cuomo-run NY Democratic Party is trying to get rid of the WFP. Do you think Cuomo wands the WFP to requalify? of course not, as that would take away some of his control. He doesn’t want the WFP to exist and he only raised the ballot thresholds to try to eliminate them and thus cement his control over the left. Last time I checked, Puppet masters don’t try to wipe their puppets from existence…

  12. And James, if you want to know why people are prioritizing the WFP over the Green Party, then know that over the past three elections, the Green party averaged 96,051 votes below the 2% threshold, which is quite a significant obstacle to overcome. The WFP on the other hand has averaged ONLY 365 VOTES below 2%. Therefore, people are prioritizing the third parties most likely to get ballot access

  13. I fully support the legalization of Electoral Fusion. The Nation article is spot on.

Voting for a progressive third party nomineee will not — right now — lead to more progressive policies. But, every Working Families Party vote helps to keep Democrats semi honest.

  14. They should just vote for TRUMP or not vote since all the ballots will be thrown out anyway. There will be total electoral fusion and all votes will be counted as TRUMP. And there will never be another election unless it’s 100% for TRUMP.

  15. HOW MUCH OF A LAWLESS FELON IS THE BAN RESIDENT TROLL M-O-R-O-N

    — with its many election subversions ???

  16. The Biden AG in 2021 9and multiple USA DAs will be having the BAN resident parrott Troll on his/her/their top felons list to PURGE –
for its many postings about overthrowing the USA Const and govt.

  17. And then you wake up in a nightmare that will never end for you, and those of us in the RIGHT side of history will point and laugh.
