  10. Nobody owns Libertarian votes. They have to be earned by candidates supporting libertarian positions. The political establishment is becoming aware of this. Keep that in mind going forward into 2022 and 2024.

  15. To James Ogle: The state of Idaho is scheduled to certify its election results by November 18th. In at least three previous elections (2012, 2004, 2000) they’ve itemized the totals for each of the the registered presidential write-in candidates. Do you think a few Idahoans voted for you?

  20. A lot of people who voted for Libertarian Party candidate may not have voted, or may have voted for another minor party or independent candidate, if Jorgensen had not been on the ballot.

    If the major parties were really concerned about the “wasted vote” syndrome, they would pass Ranked Choice Voting for every election.

  34. In its 50 years of existence, the Libertarian Party has ELECTED EXACTLY ZERO: Governors, U.S> Representatives, or U.S> Senators. There have been a few insignificant state legislators, and even more insignificant local officials, but has far as having an IMPACT IN ELECTING FEDERAL OR STATE OFFICE HOLDERS? ZERO! Yes many LP candidates HAVE had an “impact” by being the “spoiler” or “balance of power” in determining WHICH Democrat or Republican gets “elected” (or a state’s electoral votes in Presidential elections!). All that is doing is PISSING OFF the top two political parties to the point that “top two” primaries are now becoming more prevalent in several states. In the “marketplace of elections”, Libertarians are almost as insignificant as they were 50 years ago. I learned it back in 2000, when I saw the LP get LESS VOTES for President then in 1996. I gave up on being Libertarian at that time,

  37. And you also apparently failed to notice that the United States doesn’t have free elections. It’s rather absurd to criticize the most successful opposition party of the last 100 years for not being even more successful while ignoring the actual electoral reality.
