Outgoing Michigan Republican Congressmember Becomes an Independent

On December 14, Congressmember Paul Mitchell of Michigan’s 10th district told the Clerk of the U.S. House to switch his partisan affiliation in the Congressional Directory from Republican to independent.  Michigan doesn’t have registration by party, so there is no other method for anyone to announce party membership or independent status than to say so publicly.

Mitchell was elected for the first time in 2016, and was re-elected in 2018, but did not run in 2020, so he has less than a month in office.  He represents the “thumb” of the Michigan “hand”, the area north of Detroit that extends into Lake Huron.  Thanks to Political Wire for this news.

  24. Telling people if they report they will be deported is not ratting them out. It is warning them about what is going to happen to the. The kids weren’t collaborating.

    If Soros was a Nazi collaborator then the Israelis or Germans would have charged him. There is no statute of limitations when it comes to collaborating with the Nazis.

    No matter how old you are now or what you have done with your life since, you will be taken to Germany or Israel and put on trial.

  32. Did f sock read up about what judenrat councils did? No one should be naive. There are way more collaborators who got away with it than went on trial. Soros admitted on 60 minutes he collaborated and didn’t regret it. Do a search for dinesh dsouza tweet of the video clip. Schwartz aka Soros quit the judenrat not because of his conscience or warning anyone cover story but because he started pretending to not be a jew. Later on after he got super rich and famous and the question came up his pr flaks came up with a cover story for his reputation.

  36. Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong, but wouldn’t this now make it the first time that more than 1 member of the US House of Representatives is neither a Democrat nor Republican since 2002? Also, wouldn’t this also be the 1st time that there are 4 different affiliations (D, R, L, I) in the House of Representatives since 1950 (D, R, Liberal, American Labor)?
