Federal Election Commission Releases Vote Tally for All Presidential Candidates Who Were on Ballot in at Least One State

The Federal Election Commission has tallied the vote for president by state, for every candidate who was on the ballot in at least one state. Later this on-line chart will be published in a book, Federal Elections 2020. That book, which is free on request from the FEC, will also have the vote for congress. See it here.

These returns still aren’t absolutely final. Pennsylvania still doesn’t have final results because it is still waiting for the U.S. Supreme Court to rule on whether certain late-arriving postal ballots should be counted. Kansas and Maine still haven’t released the write-in totals for declared write-in presidential candidates. Also, of course, there are other presidential candidates who were not on the ballot in any state, but who still got valid write-in votes because they filed as declared write-in candidates in certain states, and therefore did get some votes tallied. It was simply too much for the FEC to include those candidates.

But the FEC chart is certainly useful at this time. For example, the Libertarian Party only retained its ballot-qualified status in North Carolina because its presidential nominee, Jo Jorgensen, was on the ballot in at least 35 states. In reality, she was on the ballot in all states, but it is not so simple to “prove” this. But the FEC chart, because it is published by a government agency, showing that she was on in all ballots, is proof. Thanks to Thomas Jones for the link.

Federal Election Commission Releases Vote Tally for All Presidential Candidates Who Were on Ballot in at Least One State — 27 Comments

  1. Only 25 votes for Don Blankenship in his home state. Let that sink in. Well, he did get 3,138 in Nevada where he actually resides.

  2. This illustrates the importance of being on the ballot as opposed to relying on write in votes.

  3. thank you, Rick, I have now fixed it. This is another example of why I am so glad for commenters.

  4. Jeff, I had no idea that Don Blankenship had a home in Nevada. How do you know he spends more time in Nevada than in West Virginia?

Also, why did he put so little effort into getting on the ballot and running a presidential campaign? What is the point of running if one is going to put in so little effort?

  5. Andy —

how many EGO folks loving to see their names in a govt document ???

How many of the 2020 candidates got 0.1 PCT per State or Total ???

More mockery of the EC ROT.

    Abolish the EC.

In how many States was all others more than B-T or T-B ???

clue – less than 5, more than 0.

  6. I thought you wanted more candidates. Now you want fewer? Maybe we should just have one candidate. Retard, you really need to make up your mind.

  7. BAN resident Troll MORON is too evil STUPID to detect equal NOM pets for REAL candidates —

    NOT EGO freaks.

  8. We should just have one candidate. Trump for President. Trump endorsed Republican for any other office. All others need not apply and should be automatically disqualified.

  9. In order for me to help you change yourself first you must really, truly want to change.

  10. At times we hide behind sarcasm, putdowns and taunts to avoid the selfexamination that is the necessary precursor for growth and change. We thus lock ourselves in a selfmade prison of arrested emotional development. This can occur even if the intellect continues to develop. Lack of empathy or open mindedness can inhibit intellectual development as well at times.

  11. I also find from reps posts to be indecipherable, and even when I can make out what he’s saying it’s catastrophizing, paranoid/conspiratorial, condescending, hypocritical, etc. He’s clearly not open to learning anything and seems disinterested in whether he is persuading anyone, helping his causes in any way with his comments, or creating any kind of dialogue. He seems more interested in just publicly venting repetitively with himself as the primary audience. If he does actually want to persuade anyone or advance the acceptance of his opinions, he’s singularly bad at it and not open to considering whether there’s a better way to communicate his thoughts.

However, the equally repetitive childish comments mocking him are not achieving anything productive either. He’s clearly not going to stop. You’re not going to get him to go away. You already know he’ll just call you a juvenile troll moron and possibly an agent of a hostile foreign government and keep posting what he always does. You already know Richard won’t ban him. You achieve less than nothing by engaging him, unless it’s to make yourself feel better about your own insecurities by externalizing your negative emotions. In other words to try to make yourself feel smarter, better etc by putting down someone else. It’s a short term sugar high so you have to keep doing it repetitively as well, just like demo rep’s venting. Why not just ignore him? Probably because your reaction to him is more about you than it is about him.

  12. Andy asks who keeps posting garbage comments.

Andy is one of the guilty parties himself. The others are Robert Milnes, James Ogle, demo rep, Cody Quirk and his alter egos, Nathan Norman and his alter egos, and Paul the cyberpig and his alter egos.

    Garbage comments include:

Anything you’ve said thousands of times in past comments

    Grand conspiracy theories

Threadjacking to rehash pet peeves endlessly

    Grade school insults

Comments about race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, etc

    Trump cultism

    Trump derangement

    Reds under every bed

Back and forth guessing games over people’s alleged secret identity

    Accusations of paid trolling

    Impersonation comments

Mocking other people’s names or screen names

Calling other people trolls, retards, idiots, morons, spammers etc

Comments about other people’s age, weight or appearance

    These are all garbage comments.

  13. Garbage?
I don’t write no stinking garbage!
TOP SIX, TOP SIX, TOP SIX.
    PLAS, PLAS, PLAS!
    Me, myself and I.
I do not think Kevin Zeese, David Nolan or Dr. Marc Feldman are dead.
paulie is a troll. paulie is a troll!
    And paid.

  14. I think I have seen the comment Please change me by Demo Rep before.
I remember because it really is funny.
paulie does have a good sense of humor.
    Kinda convoluted notwithstanding.

  15. The “Anonymous” list sounds like the rules the cyberpig set up when he was dictator of IPR.

  16. IPR seems to have slowed to a stop.
    Despite banned commenters still banned.
Despite new owner Austin Cassidy. Why don’t you let banned commenters back, Austin?
Might liven things up over there at IPR.
    The other place.
    IPR-X-better than IPR!

  17. “Anonymous,” how do you know that Cody Quirk, Nathan Norman, and Paul Frankel, post under various fake names? Who are you and what is the source of your knowledge?

  18. Andy,
I am assuming because I have been following IPR closely since Cassidy and long before.
I see no evidence of banned commenters back at IPR.
Whether officially allowed by Cassidy or on their own commenting and not being banned.
In my case every comment was promptly deleted until I gave up.
My first comment was allowed because it was kind of Welcome back Austin.
Then I referred to some of my grievances about being banned and that got all of them deleted.
