  3. An increase for Moderate, Progressive, Patriots, UCES clowns, OWL, and Alliance.

That would not happen were they not listed on the voter registration form.

  4. This is the first state which I have seen a decrease in Libertarian registration recently. Does anyone know the reason for this decrease in Alaska?

  5. George – I don’t know the reason for it, but it is a long term trend. LP voter registration in Alaska peaked Feb 3, 2010 at 9,787. They’ve been in a slow decline ever since.

There is one other state where the LP has declined in recent years, other than from government dickery: Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania had 48,966 registered Libertarians in October 2016. It was down to 40,324 in February 2020. I guess they never released the number for October 2020, so who knows if that trend has turned around.

  6. I’m trying really hard to get updated Pennsylvania registration data for the Libertarian and Green Parties. I have phoned about 10 times and left messages and no one gets back to me. A few days ago I filed a freedom of information request for the two statewide numbers. I hope it works. The Libertarian and Green Parties were taken off the registration form after November 2018 because neither party polled as much as 2% of the winning candidate’s vote. But in Nov. 2020 they came back.

  7. Thank you, Richard. I wonder if it would help if we all started calling them? Normally I wouldn’t suggest it, but if they’re being non-responsive to reasonable requests… I guess we can at least wait to see how your FOIA request works out.
