On January 28, the State Commmittee of the New York Independence Party passed a new bylaw. It says the state leadership can displace the leadership in any county, even if the county leadership was elected by committeemembers who had won the party’s primary. It is not clear that this new bylaw can be enforced against state election law; the matter will be in court soon. The motivation of the New York Independence Party state leadership was, as before, to eliminate allies of Lenora Fulani. Fulani allies won control of the party in most boroughs of New York state by electing a majority of the county committee in the party’s most recent primary.
Tell me that it is not so! Has the Old Guard Leadership of the Peace and Freedom Party of California moved east to New York State – so that they, once again, can struggle against Lenora Fulani, one of the most energetic and successful petitioners in contemporary United State history? It certainly appears to be the same sort of institutional morbido, at any rate.

The most bitter fighting is ‘in-fighting’! The worst carnage is during civil wars and family feuds!

Thanks for the clarification, Don. With all this recent talk by the PFPers Old Guard Leadership about branching out into other states in time for the 2008 elections, I was starting to worry about their dysfuntional maladies breeding and spreading!
