On June 24, the U.S. Senate approved five new Federal Election Commissioners. This is good news for Ralph Nader and Cynthia McKinney, since primary season matching funds can now be released (although McKinney hasn’t yet raised enough money to qualify).
I presume you chose not to include Bob Barr’s name because he’s probably going to refuse matching funds, Richard?
I would certainly assume that he’s the only third party candidate aside from Nader that will likely qualify for them.
Not only is Bob Barr not interested in receiving primary season matching funds, for him, the primary season is over, since he already received the nomination of the party whose nomination he had been seeking.
