  1. What the fuck is wrong with you people! Dare you jeoperdize our chance to keep McCain out of office!!??

  2. If you can’t get enough people to vote for your candidate you deserve to lose. Don’t blame people who vote for someone who represents their beliefs for their lack of support for your candidate.

  3. Exactly right, Mr. McLaughlin.

The U.S. two-party system skews every political question into the logic of a horse-race. The truth is there are many more solutions to economic and social problems than at first appear to be available. Getting rid of the two party system will open up politics and revive participatory democracy.

The need for greater representation of the political views that are out there was seen recently when both McCain and Obama supported the Bush bailout. Opposition to the shared economic policy of the two major candidates need to vote for Nader, Barr, McKinney or Baldwin in order to create a space for alternative policies.

Compare the U.S. system to Canada’s, which does just fine with four major parties and the Greens well on their way to becoming the fifth.

  4. It makes some sense after getting our tax dollars in matching funds he’d find a way to spend our money.
