On November 3, SurveyUSA released a North Carolina poll. For Governor, Perdue (Dem.) 48%, McCrory (Rep.) 47%, Munger (Libt.) 4%, undecided 2%.
For U.S. Senate, Hagan (Dem.) 50%, Dole (Rep.) 43%, Cole (Libt.) 5%, undecided 2%.
For president, the only categories are McCain, Obama, and “other”, but Bob Barr is the only “other” choice on the ballot. McCain 49%, Obama 48%, other 2%, undecided 2%.
Wow! It looks like this poll jives with my prediction of:
Perdue 49%
McCrory: 46%
Munger: 5%
As for the rest of the Council of State I feel that Walter Dalton, Janet Cowell, and Wayne Goodwin will win the open seats for Lt. Governor, Treasurer, and Insurance Commissioner. I also think that Labor Commissioner Cherie Berry, Secretary of State Elane Marshall, Attorney General Roy Cooper, Agriculture Commissioner Steve Troxler, and State Education Superintendent June Atkinson will be reelected to their posts.
The only person I feel could lose is Auditor Les Merritt as he has been disappointing.
I feel this will be an interesting night in NC and a pretty good night for the Libertarians – if they get 2%.
