The South Carolina legislature is considering H 3067, which would ban fusion. The bill passed a subcommittee of the House Judiciary Committee on January 29, and is now pending in the full committee. “Fusion” is the ability of two political parties to jointly nominate the same candidate.
fusion places an additional line on the ballot in NYS — what about in South Carolina? Enforce equal protection by changing font size on the ballot to an equal the total (additive) font size on the ballot.
I’m from SC, and it will say, equal font size, something like this:
Democrat – Barack Obama
Working Families – Barack Obama
It’s sad that my home state is becoming even lamer with respect to ballot access.
Let’s call the legislature and Gov and lobby against this.
