Mayor Bloomberg Seeks Both Republican and Working Families Nominations — No Comments

  1. Bloomberg probably wants another term to stay on springboard for the national stage if he thinks the opportunity’s right in 2012. He needs a party line since an independent one would put him on the bottom of the ballot, and the GOP might be the bridge he’s burnt the least.

  2. Well, that does explain much. However, it is not going to make a lot of difference. Mr. Bloomberg and his team need to understand that presidential elections are not merely popularity contests. They are mostly about issues. Furthermore, fading in and fading out of the contest does not help one’s chances of winning.

One more thing: The Republican Party is a joke. It will be a minor-sized party by 2012.
