Small-Town Mayor in Arkansas Will Seek Green Party Nomination for U.S. Senate

John Gray, Mayor of Greenland, Arkansas, said on September 6 that he will seek the Green Party nomination for U.S. Senate in 2010. Gray has a Masters Degree in physics and is an expert in atomic energy, which he opposes. See this story. Greenland has a population of approximately 1,000 and is in northwest Arkansas.

  1. to be more specific, Greenland is South/Southwest of Fayetteville. Fayetteville has had quite a few Greens elected to office in non-partisan elections

  3. Good for John Gray and the Green Party. Offering Americans and Arkansans more options to choose from in setting their future is the American way. Especially right now with so many politicians choosing the party first, special inerests second and the people last. I think people like John and Trevor Drown the independent candidate from Russellville are brave men for stepping up and daring to make a difference.
