Governor Schwarzenegger Raised Money for "Top-Two" and His Other Causes While His Decisions on Whether to Veto 700 Bills Were Pending

According to this Los Angeles Times story, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger of California raised tens of thousands of donations for his political causes, including the “top-two” measure that will be on the ballot in June 2010, during September. Also during September, he was making up his mind whether to sign or veto 703 bills. He ultimately signed approximately half of them, and vetoed approximately half of them.

  1. Texas does not permit political donations during legislative sessions. If California adopted this reform, it would probably shorten the length of sessions.

  2. The Gov. is not just corrupt but also stupid. The entire legislature needs to be dragged out of their offices by angry peasants with pitchforks.

  3. The executive veto is an EVIL vestige of the EVIL era of *divine right of kings* in the STONE AGE / DARK AGE — i.e. belongs in the graveyard of EVIL political stuff.

    ABOLISH all executive vetoes.

    P.R. and nonpartisan A.V. — to end the growing EVIL in ALL legislative bodies in the U.S.A. — esp. the gerrymander Congress and all 50 gerrymander State legislatures.

    Bills of Rights will continue.
