On January 1, “Third Party and Independent Daily” was launched. See it here. We seem to be at a moment in time when interest in independent candidates and minor parties is growing. The new blog is one sign of that. Also, the number of former or current public officials who say they will run as independent candidates in 2010 is large and constantly growing.
Thanks for the shout out Richard!
Equal ballot access laws.
P.R. and A.V. — NO need for a zillion election law reform blogs.
The extremist party hacks on both left/right sides are obviously trying to get permanent control of the U.S.A.
The 6,000 plus year W-A-R between NET tax payers (aka tax slaves) and NET tax getters continues.

I’d like to see an ambitious soul mount a website project that would amount to a database of all independent and third party candidates, as well as partisan registration data nation-wide, so as that candidates who wanted to peel away votes from the big two parties could have a catch-all place to go for reasonable guidance as to what the sentiments of the registered voters might be in a given race. Such a web site could also be a constructive tool for individuals who want to donate to, campaign for, and otherwise assist alterntative, but want to use their resources wisely. It would be kind of like opensecrets.org, but focusing on registration data. It would be awesome if it had a networking component…
Clayzero, that’s an excellent idea. I’ve been maintaining a list of third party and independent candidates for governor, US Senate and House in 2010 at Poli-Tea. It’s due for an update but it’s fairly comprehensive.
