The Chicago Sun-Times reports that Forrest Claypool will run for Assessor of Cook County, Illinois, as an independent candidate. He is a well-known reformer with substantial credentials. See this story. He will need 25,000 valid signatures between now and June 21.
25,000 signatures for a county race. That is unbelievable.
We will volunteer to help you acquire your needed signatures for independent candidate for assessors office.
The Republican & Democratic parties only need to gather 5,000 signatures in the primary. The threshold is 5 times higher for third party and independents! Not cool.
2/3rds of the states nationwide only require a filing fee for the primary. Corrupt Chicago politicians make it virtually impossible for choice to get on the ballot.
Bad Bad Bad politicians….
