Foster’s Daily Democrat, in this article, suggests that Eliot Cutler may win the gubernatorial election in Maine this year. Cutler is an independent candidate who formerly worked for Senator Edmund Muskie as well as President Jimmy Carter.
Foster’s Daily Democrat is actually a New Hampshire newspaper, but it also covers southern Maine. It is considered a conservative-leaning newspaper.
I’m sorry but, just because he worked for Senator Edmund
Muskie and President Jimmy Carter..Dosen’t mean he is the right man for the job.
Electoral reform for real!
– Electoral college: using the Constitutional rule of 1 Rep per 30,000 voters ratio, expand Electoral College to its real number (10,000 U.S. House electors+ 100 U.S. Senate electors), especially since the electors meet in each state.
– Ballot access: 30,000 votes either for a U.S. Senate or U.S. House race (either statewide total or in a Congressional District); for President, following the Constitution, the top 5 candidates with the most electoral votes would be granted automatic ballot access.
I think that Cutler is just the man for Maine. He’s got the most experience and he’s been the most honest. Both are important. Nobody else in the Maine race approaches him in either category. He’s got my vote!
