I’ll believe it when I see it. The wheels of justice turn very slowly, and by the time any of this may get through the courts, it will be too late to properly nominate candidates for this November’s election. As I said before, a special special election in spring 2011 seems the most timely, IMHO.
The Constitution and Libertarian parties in West Virginia need to keep an eye on this and make sure they are not excluded from an opportunity to participate in any earlier special election. (if Rep, Dem, and Mtn parties just get to nominate their candidates).
Not good, not good at all.
I’m just glad Byrd survived until after the primaries. Democrats need to keep his seat until 2012.
