Well, I voted for Ralph Nader in 2000 (and remain very proud of that vote). However, I think that Al Gore would have made a much better president than George W. Bush.

Phil Sawyer. Just curious. If Al Gore had been elected, how do you feel he would have responded to 9-11?

    Phil Sawyer responds:

Well, it is very difficult to say and, of course, we will never know what might have been. I do not believe that Al Gore would have gone to war against Iraq as a result of that tragic event on 9-11-01. The fact that so many Democrats went along with that also bears condemnation.

On most issues, it seems to me, Al Gore would have taken a more enlightened and thoughtful position than George W. Bush did.
