On November 10, U.S. District Court Judge Ralph Beistline declined to order the Alaska Division of Elections to stop counting write-ins for Lisa Murkowski in which the name is misspelled, at least for the time being. See this story. Thanks to Rick Hasen for the link. UPDATE: here is the judge’s 3-page order, from the ElectionLawBlog.

What an excellent example of Republican greed. First, daddy’s girl Lisa Murkowski can’t accept losing the primary, so files as a write-in. Then, Joe Miller can’t accept that he may have lost to a write-in, so files a voter disenfranchising lawsuit.
Republicans=Democrats=useless
In other states, if they come reasonably close they allow it. Go with that.
U.S.A. Senate = probably THE most ANTI-Democracy legislative body in the U.S.A. — due to the blowhard party hacks from the many below average small States.
435 Reps / 50 States = 8.7 average Reps.
Abolish the timebomb Senate (see the Civil War 1861 — due to the free/slave State machinations before 1861) — OR elect it in odd numbered years for at most 2 year terms using P.R. to represent ALL of the People/Voters in the U.S.A.
