I’m no big fan of Lisa Murkowski, but at least with the defeat of Joe Miller, this is one less vote in the U.S.Senate to destroy Social Security, Medicare, Public Aid to Education, and many other programs which makes the lives of the average American have some dignity.
The fat lady is still waiting to sing in the 2011 gerrymander U.S.A. Senate (controlled by Donkeys) — for the final results from AK.

The whole fiasco of Alaska could have been avoided if they had approval voting. The way that works is that there is just one ballot with all the candidates on it. Each voter caats a vote for or against each candidate. The one with the most votes wins. ELECTION OVER.
No primaries..
Negative campaigning does not work unless you are carefull..
Cheaper..

Just goes to show everyone how greedy establishment politicians are for power and the NEED for term limits!! Murkowski=Miller. “The new boss is the same as the old boss.”
NO CONSECUTIVE TERMS!!
REPEAL THE 17th AMENDMENT and go back to having sinators APPOINTED by the people’s state legislature.
Miller seeks a federal injunction on certification….hmmm, doesn’t sound like the normal concession speech. Joe, you are a pesky little gnat and you know it.
Miller…Tea Party hero to Tea Party zero in just two months. Join the Angle, O’Donnell club Joe!
The pre-17th Amdt Senate was TOTALLY CORRUPT — all sorts of bribes in the party hack gerrymander State legislatures as to who would be a gerrymander U.S.A. Senator.
Sometimes many months will no Senator from a State.
P.R. and App.V.
YEs Repeal the 17th Amendment. Even if Miller had been elected it stilled wouldn’t have made a difference since the Republicans don’t control the Senate.
Deremus Jessup. You need to read your American History of the Gilded Age before the 17th Amendment
was finally passed. I have to agree with Demo Rep Says in that the Senate was even more corrupt then than it is now. The wealthy bought off state legislators and got U.S. Senators who sided with Big Business and others of the “robber barons.”
I agree Congress errored with the 17th Admendment in not allowing state legislatures to “recall” their senators if they did not trully represent the state government as the Founding Fathers intended them to do. But experience shows that it would have been best to have allowed the people to elect them initially.
All sorts of corruption and appearance of corruption in EVERY appointed office.
Hmmm. The SCOTUS folks are appointed by party hack Prezs and confirmed by party hack U.S.A. Senators.
