Methinks we need to return to only letting property owners vote. It sure kept taxes in check back in the day. Also like the Swiss system where I hear one must demonstrate annual proficiency with a military grade rifle in order to vote. Take that hoplophobes!
Yea, absolutely Doremus. I really think letting women and non-Whites vote too has forced taxes to rise as well. I, like you, am in favor of going back to what the original settlers intended: White Christian Male heads of households who own property should have all the say in our government.

Such Sec. 2 got most of the attention during the debates on the 14th Amdt — i.e. everybody with any brains knew that the EVIL forces of slavery had used the ignorant poor white southern males as cannon fodder during the horrific Civil War.
