Ohio’s new Secretary of State, Jon Husted, has told the press that if the Ohio legislature is slow to draw new boundaries for U.S. House districts, the state won’t be able to cope with the scheduled early March primary in 2012. In that case, Husted will ask the legislature for a later 2012 primary. See this story. Thanks to PoliticalWire for the link.
With the New Age gerrymander computer programs it will take about ONE nanosecond to have gerrymander maps ready to go in Feb-Mar 2011 — with the standard predictable yelling and screaming from the wiped out party hack gangs — Donkeys in the case of Ohio —
i.e. instant court cases, emergency appeals, SCOTUS as last resort.
End the EVIL STONE/DARK AGE gerrymander stuff.
P.R. and App.V. — real progress in *political science* as in other *science* since the Dark Age.
