Several Political Parties Post Statements About Arizona Assassinations

The Republican Party National Committee has this statement on its web page. It deplores the shooting of Congressmember Gabrielle Giffords but does not mention the name of U.S. District Court Judge John M. Roll. The Libertarian Party web page has this statement, which does mention the judge. The Democratic Party National Committee web page has this broadcast by President Barack Obama.

UPDATE: Jared Loughner registered to vote in 2006 as an independent. He last voted in 2008. See this story. Thanks to Cody Quirk for this.

Several Political Parties Post Statements About Arizona Assassinations — No Comments

  1. It was pathetic how the main stream media covered the shooting!

They haven’t even reported on how the gunman’s friends are claiming that he was left-wing liberal in his political views! Even Fox News isn’t reporting that fact either!

    IDIOTS!

  2. P.R. — Total Votes / Total Seats — so that marginal folks can have some representation and NOT have to go EVIL crazy.

Gerrymander WAR criminals will be going to work for a few seconds in Feb-Mar 2011 with the 2010 census stats in ALL 50 gerrymander States using the latest EVIL computerized gerrymander programs (think concentration camp pack and crack areas)

    — thus quite possible to have even more left/right EVIL crazy folks in the 2012 – 2013 election — take office time period.

The Alaska Constitution Party condemns all acts of political violence. We must maintain our civil discourse and the rule of law. We must uphold our Constitution in thought, speech and deed. We stand in solidarity with those who have been victims of political violence. May the LORD be with them as they grieve their losses.

    Acting Chairman

ARIZONA – The Arizona Green Party is both saddened and outraged in response to the acts of domestic terrorism that plagued not only the City of Tucson this weekend, but our whole nation. Our hearts go out to Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords as well as all the victims and their families, friends, and communities affected by this senseless tragedy. Our sincerest condolences to those lives that were lost devastatingly on Saturday and we hope for a speedy recovery to those beginning their healing process.

Nonviolence is one of The Ten Key Values of the Green Party. We promote non-violent methods to oppose practices and policies with which we disagree, and will guide our actions toward lasting personal, community and global peace. Peace is not just the absence of violence; it is a willingness to resolve conflict in a constructive manner with a spirit of good will and respect.

Violence is never an answer. We, the Arizona Green Party, will continue to advocate for peace and non-violence in the wake of this tragedy in Tucson and everyday that bloodshed and brutality are replacements for compassionate dialogue and diplomatic action.

  5. New info came out that the shooter was registered Decline-to-State and didn’t vote in the 2010 Election.

    The plot keeps thickening.

  6. Gee – does that make ALL DTS folks suddenly enemies from outer space ??? — i.e. guilt by DTS association ???

When do the hearings begin in the gerrymander Congress about DTS folks ???

What percentage of the U.S.A. population go EVIL NUTS each day ??? — murders, robberies, etc. etc. — for WHAT ever *reason* —

more or less than 1 in 310,000,000 ???

  7. Richard: Cody Quirk wrote information was received the alledged shooter was registered as “declined to state.” You later comment that he was registered as an “independent” (quotations mine). I sort of feel like Demo Rep. Is there a conspiracy out there to make all of us “independents” bad people? Let’ hope not. My prayers and thoughts are with all the survivors and the families of the victims. We don’t need this in America.

  8. Those who are trying to blame Sarah Palin or the Tea Party for this are truly pathetic political hacks with blinders on. The shooter is obviously mentally ill. This is a national tragedy. My experience shows me that hateful political rhetoric often originates with the left. For those seeking to assign blame, ask yourself what you have done to contribute to peaceful political dialogue. How have you reached out to the mentally ill? To those in distress? Have you mentored a young person? What example do you provide to the world? We don’t need more falsehood, accusation and inflammatory rhetoric. Love conquers hate. Pray about it. May the LORD be with us and our nation during this time of tragedy. Shalom!

  9. # 10 It has become very politically IN-correct to put NUTCASES into NUTCASE housing units — due to lots of EVIL abuses of such folks in the EVIL past by their alleged caregivers.

Thus — some percentage of NUTCASES roaming the streets every day and especially in high schools and colleges — i.e. BAD effects of taking too many or any BAD drugs.
