Virginia Governor Vetoes Redistricting Bill

On April 15, Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell vetoed the bill that draws new legislative districts. See this story. Because Virginia has its state elections in odd years, this creates a problem for candidates planning to run for the legislature this year.

    The courts are EVIL STUPID / BRAIN DEAD about gerrymanders and the resulting ANTI-Democracy indirect minority rule.

    gerrymander districts = early plantations along the James River.

    Adult male population got too big to assemble in person to make laws.

    I.E. – going on 400 years of ANTI-Democracy gerrymanders in VA.

    P.R. — invented circa 1844 — repeat 1844 — BEFORE the horrific 1861-1865 Civil WAR.
