On June 21, a Maryland state circuit judge heard arguments in the lawsuit over whether the Green Party petition and the Libertarian Party petitions for ballot status in 2012 and 2014 have enough signatures. At the end of the hearing, he ruled orally that the petitions are valid. Thanks to Bob Johnston for this news. UPDATE: here is the 2-page order.
That sounds better…much more encouraging for the prospects of our Constitution Party petitioning which is in progress for 2012.
Congrats to the Maryland LP. Sounds like the LP is headed towards 50 state ballot access. They do better then 2008 by one or two states.
Wahooooo go libertarians!!
Reply to Gary Odom: I’m the plaintiff’s rep for the LP in this case. And yes — we did it for the MD CP as well, but we could not include you as a co-plaintiff because you haven’t turned in your sigs yet, so you lack legal standing. So go get ’em — this decision makes it much easier for you.

Congratulations to the Maryland Libertarian Party!
I collected a lot of those signatures so I knew damn well that the validity was good.
@George Whitfield — Your diligence in scouring U.S. sources for news of Libertarian progress continues to amaze me. Bravo!
