Michigan Republicans Will Use Presidential Primary in 2012

On August 13, the Michigan Republican Party state committee decided to use a presidential primary in 2012 to choose delegates to the national convention, instead of a caucus.   1. The Republicans didn’t want the expense of a caucus, so the tax payers get stuck with the bill.

  3. There is a reduction in delegates for an early primary. New Hampshire was penalized by the Republicans in 2008.
