New Hampshire GOP Chair Says he Withdrew His Name from Libertarian Party Petition

This news story says that Jack Kimball, New Hampshire Republican state chair, has arranged to delete his signature from the Libertarian Party’s ballot access petition. He says he thought he was signing for just a single Libertarian candidate, and hadn’t realized that he was signing a petition to put the party itself on the 2012 ballot. But he is still being pressed to resign, and the national Republican Party is apparently withholding at least $100,000 from the New Hampshire Republican Party unless Kimball resigns.

  1. ALL Republicans and Democrats alike who support the tyranny of not allowing other political parties on the ballot should immediately resign, and move to China where they can live life with the government they are trying to manufacture with their clearly unconstitutional efforts.

  2. P.R. and App.V

    Equal nominating petitions

NO STONE AGE robot party hack caucuses, primaries and conventions.

  3. BOOO Kimball. Just when I thought you had actual guts and a spine…but, looks like you’re just another Republocrat who’s never willing to put principle above party.

  4. He’s obviously trying to weasel out of it. He should be a man and tell the Republican Party to drop dead. He should resign from the Republican Party and join the Libertarian Party.

  5. “national Republican Party is apparently withholding at least $100,000 from the New Hampshire Republican Party unless Kimball resigns.”

Just for allowing another party on the ballot? How fascist of the GOP leadership! Par for the course, of course, of course..

  6. #5 Amen to that! Kimball is a spineless jellyfish who can’t stand up for what is right. He’s more than willing to kowtow to GOP party leadership and swear utmost allegiance to the Getting Overly Prowar party.

  7. How despicable of the Republican Party. Just because Kimball stood up for freedom and the right to vote regardless of affiliation in his state now he is being bullied into recanting and be pressed to resign. Just shows how anti-free speech Republicans can be.

Maybe he will see that he ought to resign either way and join a truly constitutional and freedom friendly Party like either the Constitution or Libertarian Party.
