Some in the Occupy Wall Street movement seem to have started using the name the “Occupy Party”, and a webpage now exists with the name occupyparty.org. There is no indication on the web page that anyone is thinking of creating an electoral party, merely that if the Tea Party can use the term “party” for itself, why not the Occupy Party. The only information on the web page about organizing is that there will be an Occupy Party national meeting in Philadelphia starting on July 4, 2012, and continuing through October.
Oddly, the web page uses a picture of a crowd of smiling people who are looking up and waving American flags. When Americans Elect first set up its web page, it also used that same picture, although it was cropped to include less of the picture. Thanks to Howard Wilson for the news.

I think this is somehow ocnnected to the “Declaration of the 99%” that came out around Oct 15.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/99_Percent_Declaration
I would guess it is either a creation of the people who initiated that Declaraction, or people who are inspired by it?
The party website uses a lot of the same language.
How many folks occupy the U.S.A. ??? About 310 million ???
How many of the big and bad biz (nonfinancial and financial) are big and bad due to minority rule gerrymanders — with the minority rule laws resulting ???
P.R. and App.V. — too difficult for the Occupy XYZ folks to understand ???

Americans Elect is talking more about the presidential election. Declaration was talking about congressional elections.
If they were able to get a number of independents elected, they may be able to stop the major parties from getting a majority and create the need for coalitions to get laws passed.
But maybe that could be a really good way to really do nothing.
