Rachel Maddow’s TV show on MSNBC recently ran a segment about Americans Elect, and then a segment about Rocky Anderson’s Justice Party. It includes a five-minute interview with Anderson, in which Maddow simply let Anderson speak about why he is forming the party. Here is the link.
There are two announced candidates for the Green Party nomination for President: Jill Stein and Kent Mesplay.
Stein is a Boston physician and has run for office as a Green several times, including a recent run for Governor of Massachusetts. The Greens are the Rainbow Green Party in that state and have good organizations in Boston and the Berkshires.
Her website is here: http://www.jillstein.org/
Mesplay holds a doctorate in Biomedical Engineering, and lives in San Diego, CA. His website is http://www.mesplay.org/
Anderson doesn’t have a web page yet, but has already gotten more press. I’m curious to see what kind of structure the party proposes. There is a lot of local organizing on the ground with the Greens in certain states which could be strengthened by a common national effort.
How many softball media folks are there ???
Did ANY of them hear ANY thing about the 1860 gerrymander election and its results in 1861-1865 ???
There is a third candidate who has declared for the Green nomination with enough support to appear in state contests: Harley Mikkelson of Michigan: http://www.harleymikkelson.com.
FYI: Stein and Mesplay will be debating tonight in California, carried by the Green Party’s livestream page: http://www.livestream.com/greenpartyus.
The Madow interview was interesting, without a lot of specifics. I suppose we will learn more in the coming weeks.

My dear God.
Rocky Anderson just rocked. I am amazed that Rachel Maddow allowed him on her show.
