Virginia Republican Party Uses Volunteers to Help Validate Presidential Primary Petitions

According to this news story, the Virginia Republican Party started the petition validation process on Friday, December 23, and is using volunteers.

Gingrich submitted less then Perry did, so I think we can predict what will happen to his petition as well.
