On January 22, the American Independent Party of California held a meeting of party officers, and voted to tell the California Secretary of State that it will permit independents to vote in its 2012 primary. Of course, because of Proposition 14, the only partisan primaries will be for President.
The American Independent Party allowed independents to vote in its primaries in 2008 and earlier years, but in 2010 it changed its rules and didn’t allow independents to vote in its primary.
Very wise choice.
Were their vote totals in 2010 pretty bad and so the move to allow Independents to vote in their primary, to improve that number?
When (or perhaps I should ask who) will the AIP (join with) to hold it’s Nominating Convention to select a nominee for President? Are they still affiliated with America’s Independent Party?
To “An Alabama Independent”: My understanding is that AIP-CA is still affiliated, nationally, with that Party you mentioned (which is now simply called America’s Party).
The bombastic Alan Keyes strikes again!
#2 The American Independent Party opened its presidential primary in 2008.
Los Angeles County used a ballot system that did not identify the party, and there were many ballots that could not be determined whether they were for Hillary Clinton or one of the AIP candidates. The Republicans had a closed presidential primary in 2008.
My understanding is that election officials can not actually ask voters which they ballot they want. They have a card which the election clerk can point at, so long as they don’t make eye contact, nor smile or frown.
This is just the anti-Christian, anti-life, and anti-U.S. Criminal Enterprise ( C.E. ) which has taken over the AIP attempting to put lipstick on their pig. If citizens, especially conservatives, knew that the party is now controlled by the Southern Poverty Law Center, the Anti-Defamation League, and the Republican Establishment, also known as the ” moderates,” they would be horrified. If they knew the character of the moles/agents who control the party; i.e.; the ultra corruption of Seidenberg, Robinson, and Noonan; they would be truly sickened.
Don J. Grundmann, D.C. Chairman of the Pro-Christian, Pro-Life, and Pro-U.S. faction of the American Independent Party, the California branch of the Constitution Party
