On April 14, the Egyptian Election Commission barred ten presidential candidates from the ballot, including three who had been considered possible winners. See this New York Times story. Thanks to Bill Van Allen for the link.

Where’s the “Muslim Sisterhood Party?”
Pure proportional representation (PR) in all elections, Sainte-Lague parliament seat distribution system, Hagenbach-Bischoff methd!
Egypt – one more failed ex-Brit colony in the rotted Middle East — full of EVIL powermad monarchs / oligarchs for 6,000 plus years.
Too much Sun drives too many folks powermad CRAZY in the Sun ???
Hmmm. How much Sun in the southern States in the U.S.A. ??? — S. CA, TX, FL, etc.
and nbc “natural born citizen” issue is a prime reason given for ballot access rejection. — the obots would just call it more evidence of racism by the original slave traders of the 6000 yo Egyptian empire
Surprised by some of the names, but looks like the military accepted the bill parliament pushed through to remove the candidates that served in the last government.

Do you have “nbc parties?” God, they must be crashing bores. One appetizer. One song playing. One topic of conversation.
@6 They liven things up by showing each other their (NBC) “peacocks” (like in the Katie Perry Song)…
wobgofeht
A LARGE percentage of Middle East folks are stuck in the DARK AGE of the A.D. 600s — ZERO *political* progress since then among many of them – against the EVIL monarch / oligarch MONSTERS.
At least Europe had SOME progess since 1492 – Europe discovers N and S America.
i.e. Folks escaping the tyrants in Europe in the 1600s to form the Brit colonies — the later 13 NATION-States on 4 July 1776 — with written constitutions and RIGHTS for individuals.

Oh, I don’t know. How interesting, really, would that song be if the lyrics were “I want to see your birth certificate, certificate, certificate, your birth certificate, certificate…?”
But I guess if anyone could pull it off without putting themselves into a group fit of narcolepsy, the birthers could.
I thought the NBC party was the one with nuclear, biological and chemical weapons?
