The Roanoke Times has this story about former Virginia Congressman Virgil Goode. It focuses on the upcoming Constitution Party national convention, and says Goode may very well be the Constitution Party’s presidential nominee.
Goode spent 24 years in the Virginia legislature, and then was elected to Congress as a Democrat in 1996. In 2000 he was re-elected as an independent candidate. In 2002 he was re-elected as a Republican. He served until 2008, when he was defeated for re-election by only 727 votes.

Raymond Davis is a Mountain Party (Green Party) candidate for the West Virginia legislature. Although his comment is not germaine to the post, it does have political content. The only posts I routinely remove have absolutely no content and seem to be motivated to help some business get noticed; I understand that type of post is typically not even made by a human being, but by a robot.
Does anybody know if it’s legal in PA to sign more than one petition? Because if there’s minor party petitions at my polling place I’d gladly sign them all.
AS A REPUBLICAN WHO DOES NOT LIKE MITT ROMNEY, I WILL VOTE FOR GOODE, HOWEVER IF HE DOES NOT MAKE THE BALLOT AND THE LIBERTARIANS NOMINATE ROOT I WILL VOTEROOT.
Goode was interviewed by wikinews and looked pretty bad; he couldn’t name one legislative accomplishment even though he was asked twice. He famously howled from the roof about Keith Ellison being sworn in as the first Muslim Congressman. Despite this, it would be nice if his campaign made some headway simply for the sake of bucking the duopoly; however, I wouldn’t get my hopes up for him simply because he limits contributions to $200 per individual. I understand refusing to associate with PACs, but I think letting people give the FEC limit ($2300 before and $2300 after nomination) is reasonable and lets your campaign at least have legs.

certainly the best, most passionate and rousing speech he has ever given to a
Constitution Party audience and possibly any audience, which ended with a wild standing ovation.. Voting is tomorrow.
