On Saturday, April 21, a presidential debate was held in Los Angeles. The participants were all three Green presidential candidates who are on the California Green Party presidential primary ballot, and three of the four candidates who are seeking the Peace & Freedom Party nomination. Here is a link to the video.
Unfortunately, the sound doesn’t work for the first 14 minutes for this particular link, but it is fine afterwards. The debate is two hours long. It will be broadcast soon on the Young Turks show on Current TV cable network, and also on Pacifica Radio. Those two broadcasts will have high quality sound for the entire debate.
The participants were Rocky Anderson, Roseanne Barr, Stephen Durham, Peta Lindsay, Kent Mesplay, and Jill Stein. This was Barr’s first debate as a presidential candidate. Although Stewart Alexander and James Ogle had been expected, they were not able to attend.
A VICTORY for Hon Prime Minister Roseanne Barr [Green Tea] and the progressive and libertarian unity effort, she sounded very conciliatory to all. It is our hopes that she will be elected president.
I apologize that I was unable to attend because I fully support the Maggie Phair Institute and their efforts.
Check out the first few eballots cast for the USParliament.org here, and please mark a #1 for Roseanne (or whomever you wish for president) and/or write-in any new names (including your own?), if you’d like them to be on the 1000-member 9th USA Parliament.

The Libertarian Party will be considering whether to work with the Green Party under ranked choice consensus voting in early May. Together we stand!
Current TV covered this Debate tonight. Their coverage included interviews with Green Party’s Dr. Jill Stein, Green Party’s Rosanne Barr. A video clip from the debate included Green Party’s Dr. Kent Mesplay, “The Green Party is a big tent with room for all.”
Nice job Current TV.
The Current TV reporter complimented many of the debaters, and said he thought the Green Party’s Dr. Jill Stein won the Debate.

Dr. Kent Mesplay, “The Green Party is a big tent with room for all.”
I know of no American political party that can call itself a “big tent”.
