The U.S. Supreme Court will consider whether to hear League of Women Voters of Illinois v Quinn, 11-943, at its May 17 conference. This is the case in which the League argues that gerrymandering violates the First Amendment. Other lawsuits in the past that oppose gerrymandering have argued that gerrymandering violates the 14th amendment.
Brain dead gerrymander cases since 1964 – unable to detect —
1. UNEQUAL votes for each gerrymander district winner.
2. UNEQUAL total votes in each gerrymander district.
3. About 25 ANTI-Democracy minority rule with gerrymanders —
1/2 votes x 1/2 gerrymander districts = 1/4 CONTROL.
New Age MORON nonsense that the 1st Amdt has ANY thing to do with gerrymanders.
The MORON SCOTUS never read the Federalist apparently about the *Republican Form of Government* in Art. IV, Sec. 4.
Clue for folks with brain cells — a RFG AIN’T a monarchy or an oligarchy — leaving guess what.
How soon before TYRANNY and/or Civil WAR II in the U.S.A. due to M-O-R-O-N-S in high places ???
I hope they win that case, but I don’t think they will.
