It is likely that the Gary Johnson-Jill Stein debate, set for October 30 in Washington, D.C., will be postponed due to the upcoming east coast storm, which makes travel very difficult.

They might be better off moving the debate to a different city rather than postponing the debate to keep it in Washington.
Already rescheduled
Update: Second Free And Equal Presidential Debate of 2012 Moved to Election Eve, November 5 http://bit.ly/USxfon
If this is the second free and equal debate I think this is ridiculous. They should include all four candidates again, I think Anderson beat Stein for the liberal side and Goode beat Johnson for the “conservative?” side. Nonetheless, if free and equal wants to have “free and equal debates” they should include all candidates for the the presidency that could win the presidency in ALL debates.
Ummm, but they do. Only Obama, Romney, Stein, and Johnson could win, not counting qualified write-in status. Counting write in status, then sure, Anderson and Goode would be there, and maybe also Peta Lindsey?
Paulie, How can the “second” debate be on November 5 when the third one with Ralph Nader is scheduled for November 4 in Washington, DC? http://nader.org/2012/10/25/ralph-nader-to-host-third-party-presidential-debate-in-d-c-114/
I think people are over-reacting to the media hype on this storm. Why do they think a hurricane is going to go up the east coast and then suddenly make a left turn inland anyway?
Second Free and Equal debate.
Nader’s debate is not sponsored by the organization named Free and Equal.
There’s no “third debate” with Nader. There’s one and only one debate with Nader, which is neither the second nor third of all alt party debates – there have been others with Amy Goodman, IVN, etc. It will be the second debate with all four of these candidates, though, but they are sponsored by different organizations.
As for the hurricane, even if it does little to the DC area (we don’t know for sure yet), it will cause travel disruptions all over the country, especially on the eastern seaboard. Candidates, staff, etc have to get to and from the debate.
