Intrade.com has opened a market on the percentage of the vote that Gary Johnson will receive. See here. Intrade is a betting site, so people don’t express their fantasies; people who use it are trying to be as accurate as possible, because their pocketbook is affected.
Cool. It’ll be interesting to see what Gary will get on there.
Gee – how many $$$$$ TRILLIONS in gambling on whether leftwing Obama or rightwing Romney is elected — with whatever percentage of the popular votes ???
People don’t go to Las Vegas to express their fantasies?
Someone who wanted to promote an illusion that Gary Johnson is electable could spend a few $1000 on intrade.com, and get around campaign finance restrictions on amounts and foreign contributions.
Corporations might be excluded, since the IRS probably will not consider gambling losses as legitimate business expenses.
