As noted earlier on this web page, a new party called the 1787 Party is in the process of being established. The blog Irregular Times has noted this development, and has turned its excellent investigative talents toward learning more about the party. Irregular Times was the best news source during the period 2010-2012 for news about Americans Elect. See here for the Irregular Times post about the 1787 Party.
Uh – oh. Another political entity that doesn’t fit perfectly in the Irregular Times’ vision of how the world should be.
Time for a new whipping boy….1787 Party.
To me it sounds EXACTLY like Americans (didn’t) Elect. *yawn*
The 1787 Party is very different than Americans Elect. Americans Elect kept insisting it wasn’t really a political party and furthermore that it was only interested in the presidential election. The 1787 Party proudly says that it will be a new party and that it wants to run candidates for all partisan offices, especially Congress.
We need more parties. Perhaps they will be able to do something.
1787 eh? Hmmmm, guess the name “Constitution Party” was already taken.
