Do they still have the crazy high signature requirement of over 1 million valid petition signatures for the party ballot access petition in California?
Andy, yes, but it is not compulsory; a group can also get qualified status if it has registration equal to 1% of the last gubernatorial vote. The registration method is the way all parties in California have obtained qualified status for the last 90 years, except the in 1948 Henry Wallace’s Progressive Party used the 10% petition and also in 2011 Americans Elect used the 10% petition.
