The Center for Public Integrity has this interesting article on how the U.S. Supreme Court decision from four years go, Citizens United v FEC, will help Hillary Clinton if she runs for President in 2016. More generally, the article describes how Democrats in general may benefit from the decision. Thanks to Rick Hasen for the link.
What’s “interesting” about it?
There’s hardly anything “interesting” about any candidate, or potential candidate for national office, Republican or Democrat, attracting “free speech” measured in tens of millions of dollars.
Did you mean “ironic,” Richard? Is that the subtext here? That only Democrats, or liberals, or Clinton supporters think that the odious Citizens United decision was a subversion of democracy?
I put it up for you.
A box of chocolates would have been more “interesting” (and useful), but thanks for thinking of me anyway.
