I disagree.
Someone with money should step forward and fund a campaign to get PR (or failing that, A French-style two round system with a threshold of about 12.5% for the second round)enacted. There’s enough discontent wit h the legacy parties that referenda could likely be passed with the right ad campaign.
At the state and local level, of course.
