According to the national Green Party website (linking to an article by the Capital Confidential), Howie Hawkins has indicated that he, and I would assume at least much of the NY Green Party itself, is willing to discuss possible cross endorsement with the Working Families Party if the WFP does decide to run against Cuomo.
Of course, that all hinges on whether the WFP actually has the courage to run against the Democrats, and whether they’re willing to stop harassing the NY Greens long enough to consider them potential allies.
All in all, quite an interesting development.
I saw and heard Howie last night. He spoke as he has always spoken, like a Social Democrat. He is a much better fit for the Worker Family Party than for the Greens, except that he doesn’t want to work with the Democrats.
