The District of Columbia voter registration forms list the qualified parties and provide a checkbox next to the name of each one, to make it possible for voters to choose a party. See this picture of the form, which spells “Libertarian” as “Liberterian.” Thanks to Bruce Majors for the link.
Hmmm.
At least the error was NOT Librarian or Libertine ???
if a Liberarian ran for Head Librarian, it would be on the platform that if elected, the Liberarian would reduce the collection of the library to three books – about road construction and maintenance.
Oh good grief. It reminds me of what happened to Rich Whitney in the 2010 Illinois gubernatorial election, when they misspelled his last name as “Whitey” on some ballots. I bet they NEVER make such errors when it comes to the Democratic and Republican Parties. Third party or independent candidates seemingly don’t merit as much attention to detail as the major party candidates to in the eyes of election officials.
Oh, brother!
How about NO public libraries and NO books ???
The internet has made lots of old stuff totally obsolete.
See the zillion wikis, for example, about A to Z stuff — including ballot access.
