Hawaii Holds Four-Party Gubernatorial Debate

On October 8, all four candidates for Governor of Hawaii debated each other. See this story. The four are the nominees of the Democratic, Republican, Independent, and Libertarian Parties.

  1. According to the Hawaii Independent Party’s website, it reads; “The Hawaii Independent Party is founded on the basis that the needs and aspirations of the average citizen are more important than party ideology.”

    Often I find that such party candidates tend to be more “liberal” than they are “conservative.”

    So much for not being “ideological.”

    While I am pleased the voters of Hawaii have the Independent Party as a choice, I wonder what kind of reception would a “populist” like me receive?
