This is good news, and if Bill Walker wins, it could boost her sagging political influence in Alaska.
I know others may disagree with me, but I would like to see Palin join the Alaskan Independence Party (her husband was a member at one time) and bring some real leadership to this neglected party.
The AIP is NOT a secessionist party as some claim. Rather, the party ONLY wants to give Alaska voters a CHOICE they were DENIED in 1958. Those choices are to be able to vote for: (1) Statehood (2) Territory (3) Commonwealth or (4) Independence. The party will accept the will of the people on this vote.
Other than this, the party is a populist party which puts the needs of the people of Alaska first, and not want Washington, D.C. thinks best.
If Palin would move into the AIP, many thousands of Alaskans would follow her. I believe is she ran on the AIP label, she could win (by a plurality) the office of U.S. Senator in 2016 or Governor in 2018.
Come on Sarah. You’ve already told us of your disappointment with the GOP. Now set a good example for the rest of us by joining and help to lead the AIP to greatness in that state.
Any other empty-headed nitwits making endorsements up there were should know about?
TruFoe:
Sarah Palin WAS elected Governor of Alaska. That’s a pretty good accomplishment for a “empty-headed nitwit.” Also, I have yet to see any evidence she caused McCain to lose votes in the 2008 General Election.
