Almost 27% of the Missouri voters voted for either the Libertarian, or the Constitution Party, nominee for State Auditor. No Democrat was running. Auditor was the only statewide race on the ballot. Here is a link to the Secretary of State’s election returns web page.
Richard, you were too kind to the Constitution(al) Party when they only received some 7% of this 27% who voted against the GOP nominee.
The Libertarian Party is to be commended, but one cannot expect the Constitution(al) Party to get much more of the vote than it did.
Any party which wants to take the right to vote for their U.S. Senators away from them, abolish Social Security and Medicare, and drag the nation back to the poverty of the late 1700s can’t expect too much of a vote.
And unlike the LP, they lost ballot access in several states.
They need to change their approach and style, or else they will fade into obscurity- in fact they’re on their way there now.
I am thinking of joining the Constitution Party. The best represent most of my values better than mast of the Republican Party.I would have voted for them in Ohio, but the nominated no one.I have seen you on other sites before, your very down about the CP. You shouldn’t splip the vote, when there is already a nationally organized party thats about the same. The seemed to do pretty good, even beating or close to the Libertarians in several races.
VG,I was a active member of the CP for over 11 years and even ran for office for them.
You are kidding yourself if you think they are a viable alternative to the GOP.
