Even if they “yes” vote had won, would it have changed people’s buying habits? Doubtful. The Surgeon General has required warming labels on tobacco products for decades, but people are still puffing themselves to death annually.
The only way to stop bad products is to outlaw them, and then make the penalty for “black marketing” them so terrible, no one would dare attempt it.
