Virginia State Court Won’t Put Joe Morrissey on Democratic Primary Ballot

On April 14, a Virginia state court ruled that Joe Morrissey can’t be on the Democratic primary ballot for State Senate. He was kept off the primary ballot because the local Democratic Party said he didn’t have 250 valid signatures on his petition, even though he submitted 972 and even though local election officials said he had enough valid signatures. Virginia State Court Won’t Put Joe Morrissey on Democratic Primary Ballot — 3 Comments

  1. The story didn’t exactly say that local election officials had enough signatures.

It said that Morrissey had located 39 persons who claimed they had signed his petition, and that a local registrar had confirmed that they were eligible to sign the petition.

It would appear that his claim is that 39 of the 750 (5.2%)disallowed signatures were actually valid.

  2. Since when does a candidate selected the needed signatures, but the [arty bosses say NO!

  3. Jesus will end this type of corrupt political practice when He establishes His World Kingdom. I for one cannot wait until that days comes!!!
